The 28th International Conference on Systems, Signals and Image Processing, IWSSIP 2021 will be held in Bratislava, the capital of the Slovak Republic, from June 2 to June 4, 2021 and hosted by the Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava.
Overview
IWSSIP brings together researchers and developers from both academia and industry to report on the latest scientific and theoretical advances, to discuss and debate major issues and to demonstrate state-of-the-art systems. IWSSIP 2021 will follow the successful events previously held Niteroi/Rio de Janeiro, Osijek, Budapest, Manchester, Poznan, Zagreb, Bratislava, Maribor, Bucharest, Prague, Chalkida, Rio de Janeiro, Sarajevo, Vienna, Dubrovnik, and London. Now IWSSIP is calling for papers about but not limited to the listed topics.
Topics of Interest
The program includes keynote and special lectures presented by eminent experts in the field, peer reviewed papers and invited sessions about but no limited to the following topics:
- Signal Processing
- Image and Video Processing
- Speech and Audio Processing
- Multimedia
- Human Machine Interface
- Machine Learning
- Security
- Networks
- Wireless Communications
- Modern ICT in e-learning
Paper Submission
Prospective authors are invited to submit full papers of novel research material. The following types of submissions are invited:
- Full papers (12 pages, CCIS format, preferred) reporting completed research
- Short papers (6 pages, CCIS format) presenting ongoing or preliminary research
Papers must be submitted electronically by February 21, 2021 April 10, 2021 (extended). Each paper will be blind reviewed by at least two independent reviewers and evaluated with special attention to its originality, significance and clarity.
All accepted papers will be published in Conference Proceedings, which will be available post-conference. The papers will be published with Springer in CCIS (Communications in Computer and Information Science) book series. Outstanding, extended and enhanced versions of selected papers will be published in scientific journal indexed in Web of Science and Scopus.

Registration
The registration fee options are listed in the Registration section. Registration for the conference will be available once the review process concludes. As the organizing team is investigating suitable possibilities for the hybrid in-person – virtual event, the exact attendance options will be disclosed on a later date.
